Three decorated Rogliano’s bottles: a felt-feather turkey, a Rudolph with chenille antlers and a red pom-pom nose, and a Santa with a red felt hat and white beard.
Turkey, Rudolph, and Santa: new craft illustrations inspired by our holiday bottle display.

Handmade is part of the charm. These are suggested ways to recreate the look—use what you have and make them your own.

October

A friendly little mummy

A full Authentic Italian bottle with a loose white gauze face, two googly eyes and a gauze band near the base; the label and cap remain visible.
October idea · new photorealistic craft illustration.

Gather: White craft gauze or cream fabric strips, two googly eyes, a short ribbon, and craft glue.

Make the mummy
  1. Loop a ribbon loosely around the bottle’s shoulder. Wrap gauze or fabric strips around the ribbon in a few uneven layers, leaving an opening for the face.
  2. Glue two googly eyes onto the fabric. Tuck or glue the strip ends to the wrap, then let everything dry.
  3. Slip the wrap onto the bottle. Keep the cap, seal, and dressing label clear. Tie on a black-and-white holiday tag if you like.

More October fun: An orange felt jack-o’-lantern sleeve or little black felt bat wings on a ribbon band.

Thanksgiving

A turkey for the table

An Authentic Italian bottle dressed as a turkey with five autumn felt feathers, a brown felt face collar, googly eyes, an orange beak and a tiny red wattle.
Thanksgiving idea · new photorealistic craft illustration.

Gather: Brown felt, a few autumn-colored felt sheets, two small googly eyes, orange and red felt scraps, ribbon, and craft glue.

Make the turkey
  1. Cut a small brown felt collar to fit loosely around the bottle neck. Add the eyes, an orange triangle beak, and a tiny red wattle.
  2. Cut five rounded feather shapes from your autumn colors. Glue them into a fan on a small felt backing.
  3. Attach the fan behind the bottle with a removable ribbon band. Tie the face collar at the front and let the label show.

Christmas

Rudolph, ready to give

An Authentic Italian bottle dressed as Rudolph with brown chenille antlers, two googly eyes and a red pom-pom nose.
Christmas idea · new photorealistic craft illustration.

Gather: Brown chenille stems (pipe cleaners), two small googly eyes, one red pom-pom, a short felt strip, and craft glue.

Make Rudolph
  1. Loop a brown chenille stem loosely around the neck. Bend two upright antlers and twist on short pieces for the branches.
  2. Glue two eyes and a red pom-pom nose onto a small felt strip.
  3. Tie the strip around the bottle’s shoulder, beneath the cap. Keep the label visible and add your gift tag.

Christmas

A little Santa cheer

A Rosso bottle dressed as Santa with a red felt hat, white brim and pom-pom, and a white felt beard and moustache.
Christmas idea · new photorealistic craft illustration.

Gather: Red and white felt, a white pom-pom, ribbon, scissors, and craft glue.

Make Santa
  1. Roll a red felt piece into a small cone that slips over the cap. Glue the seam, add a white felt brim, and finish with a pom-pom.
  2. Cut a rounded beard and a small moustache from white felt. Glue them together and attach a ribbon to the back.
  3. Tie the beard loosely at the bottle shoulder and slip on the hat. Leave the name and dressing label showing.

One small craft-store stop

Look for felt sheets, white craft gauze or fabric strips, pom-poms, googly or wiggle eyes, chenille stems, ribbon or twine, cardstock, craft glue, scissors, and a hole punch. Mix colors and use the extras for the next bottle.

Build the decorations on removable felt or ribbon bands and let the glue dry before dressing the bottle. Keep the cap and seal easy to reach; little helpers can decorate while an adult handles cutting.

“Dressing up your Holidays”

Our original tag is ready to print. Choose the red-and-green Christmas sheet or the black-and-white holiday style.

Print, cut, tie: Use cardstock, print at 100% (actual size), cut around each tag, punch a hole near one end, and tie it at the neck with ribbon or twine. Add a colored-paper backing if you like.
